For the first time in 40 years, Chemung County will have a District Office of a federal elected official. On May 11, 2026, the legislature approved an agreement to lease space on the first floor of the Hazlett Building that will house the District Office of Congressman Nick Langworthy. Not since Congressman Stan Lundine, who served as our Congressman from 1976 to 1987, has Chemung County had a congressional district office located here.
